| Posted: | | | | That would be useful especially as some of the early TV series are being released in both colour and B&W | | | <---------Mithrandir, Laverne and Shirley Caroline |

| Posted: | | | | You can do this right now, simply create tags for Color and B &W.

| Posted: | | | | I think tags are for personal used for information not will be interesting share.
Black and white, color or mix (Wizard of Oz), are techical information of films, not personal dates.
I think these information will be interesting for share and for stadis for collections. |

| Posted: | | | | I would also like to see colour/bw as a part of the built in program. It also helps with colourised material which is also available on the disc as b/w material. |

Big Al My personal view is that this is a major omission from the database. Film is a visual medium and as a lover of classic film I have a lot of B&W material. Whether a film is colour or B&W is of more interest to me than many of the details that we currently record about a DVD. |

| Posted: | | | | Telecine: I agree with you. This is not a NEW request, it actually goes way back several years. My point is that you can do it right now. Is it the answer I want...no. I want to see it actually a part of the prgram as well and it will probably come at some point. But for the moment its the best that can be done. <whispers> Watch after this one fades into the distance, it won't be long before some other user comes along and starts a whole NEW thread making the same reuqest. It was FIVE years from the time I first requested additional data beyond Director before it actually was implemented in the program, and I think the first request for Color/B&W goes back about 7 years. | Posted: | | | | Well we're back. Last time I post requesting something. A nanosecond after I posted, the drive array melted down at the thought of all the B&W vs Colour updates.
As I was saying Skip, I remember the days before a contribution system that involved voting where a Brazilian was someone who overwrote your Region 4 contributions in another language.
I'm still updating profiles that only have a director recorded with additional crew information. Perhaps the time has come for an update allowing the recording of B&W vs Colour. |

| Posted: | | | | If a colour indicator is added, I'd like to have it four states: b&w, colour, mixed, colourized. |

The rest are excessive in my opinion. Mixed and colorized are both forms of color, and not all that common anymore anyway. You could say B/W for one checkbox, and Var. Color for the other. | | | John

That's a fair comment. Of course it only addresses your needs and desires, but you're entitled to your opinion. But I have to agree with RHo. I'd like to be able to distinguish between actual color and colorized (ignoring the fact that it's so blatently obvious to the naked eye of course). I'm not sure what point mixed serves. Is that for things that have B&W/tinted scenes mixed in with full color scenes (like Ben-Hur 1925) or for discs that have the B&W and colorized versions on the same disc? And not to throw a wrench into this, but you forgot tinted. Ben-Hur has various scenes tinted different colors (blue, yellow, red) and a couple scenes in 2-strip Technicolor. The opening to The Wizard of Oz count be called B&W, but in my mind it's more accurate to say it's tinted sepia. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. | Posted: | | | | In all honestly, I'd classify Schindler's List as B&W. I know all about the red coat, but 99% of the movie is B&W and to call it anything else would simply be misleading. In my opinion of course. But I do believe it would be a fun profile to watch. If you like tennis that is. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.
