| Posted: | | | | It would be nice to see the online status of the users in the threads below their avatars. Maybe a red or a green symbol could do that. This should be in addition to the status on the forums overview page! | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

| Posted: | | | | Nobody needs to know if I'm currently online or not. The online status (even the small one at the bottom of the forum's index page) should stricktly be optional. | | | Last edited: by RHo |

This could be handled similar to the Private Settings of the online collection! The indicators could be: - Green (online) - Red (offline) - Yellow (That's nothing to you) Example for this (except the yellow one) is the DVDProfiler-Forum.de In this forum it's possible to hide the online status! But why should nobody see If I'm online or not? Everybody can see my postings, inlcuding date and time?! If I like to be incognito, I don't log in and lurk around! | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

That's what I do, Doc.<shrugs> I think we are getting carried away with minutiae. I want Program development and anything related to it. Website development unless it is program related, like a new design, takes a back seat. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

Skip It might just be a forum tweak, so definately worth the 'request' IMO | | | |

Skip Of course I totally agree that program development has priority. As a layperson I cannot evaluate the programming investment of my request and I have no clue about Ken's capabilities <triple shrug> It was just an idea inspirational by other websites. | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

Also a "Show new replies to your posts since your last visit" page might be of use. BTW, while I agree that development of the program is primary, I also think the Forums are just part of the same project and a great asset for the program, as they help users by sharing ideas, tips, explanations, etc., as you all know. | | | -- Enry |
