| Posted: | | | | I wouldn't mind seeing automatic locking for genre as well... Genre is so subjective that I am sure a lot of people choose their own and lock it. Would help if we didn't have to go through the locking process with each genre change. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Personally I don't care for genres.
What I would like to see is an option that allows me to choose which locks are activated when adding a new profile. There are certain locks (e.g. title) that are activated on every DVD I own.
Additionally I'd like the same with tags. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

If you right click the thumbnail of the profile it brings up the options. Then you go down to lock and genres is there. |

| Posted: | | | | yeah... you are misunderstanding the request. The request is to have an option for the Genre field to automatically lock when there is a change... like the Disc Field does now. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Personally, I'd like to customize the default locking behavior for all my categories, not just SRP (and now genre). I guess that means I support this idea but I'm really looking for something broader. |

I agree that the ability to be able to turn on the lock on genres by default. But why NOT do it for all lockable fields? That would really personalize profile editing. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. Yea, I like it be done this way too. |

| Posted: | | | | I've created a plugin that hosts a window that will display all the locks that are set for the current selected profile. You also have the option to automatically set locks if you edit a profile. (There must be a change detected though ie checking and unchecking the slipcover won't set the case type lock even if you made a change to the title also). (Hope that made sense.)
You don't have to have the window showing for the locks to still set. The window can be turned off and will stay off.
The edit covers auto lock only works if you change it through the edit screen itself, and not if you right click on the cover and select edit from there. Sorry, limitation of the plugin. Fully customisable for every lock.
PM me if you want to try it out. | | | The Other DVD Forum Why do people who know the least know it the loudest? |
