| Posted: | | | | Isn't there possible to write in dvdprofiler exactly where your movies are at home (like which shelf and things like that.) I can maybe put it under my note section, but it would be easier to have maybe under price paid or something, so you don't have to edit anything just write it in there. |

| Posted: | | | | If you look under "Personalise", you'll find fields called "location" and "slot". These can be used to store the physical location of the DVD. Though you'll have to make sure the profile has at least once disc listed under "disc info" in order to use those fields.
edit: what would be nice is to have access to these fields without having to a) download the profile first and b) having a disc listed in the profile (for boxsets). | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, thanks. I thought that was meant for something else. But it should show in the general info site. |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, but I'm pretty sure that slots are meant for something else as I wrote. If they were meant for this it wouldn't depend on the disc! |

| Posted: | | | | I think they were designed initially with those disc cases in mind, where you can put each disc in individual slots. At least, I'm assuming that's why it's disc-based. |

| Posted: | | | | Actually, north, they were designed with the mega disc changers in mind, BUT since it is personal data you can make use of those fields in any way you wish.
Slot could be just as easily a spot on a bookshelf as it could be a slot in a changer, for example, and location could define a bookshelf location as easily as a specific changer.

| Posted: | | | | Yes, it is possible to use it. But the problem is the profiles that don't have discs. Like Blu-ray movies. Do you have any ideas of what I can do about that? |

You don't need to fill in information about the disc (disc id, layers, description) you just need the disc there. -Agrare |

| Posted: | | | | First off personal notes are just that, they do not get uploaded to the Online. secondly since they are personal notes, the only person that can change them is you or someone who has access to YOUR computer.

| Posted: | | | | I know that, but the location and slot is under the same column as the disc info thats why I'm afraid when the new info comes. But I'll try. It's not that often disc info is changed. Thanks for the help everyone. |

| Posted: | | | | I can see that... but if you notice... you put that info in on the personalize screen. so it is in the personal (local) stuff...Invelos just decided to display it with the disc info. Kinda like putting price paid with the general information... but when something in the general information gets changed... that does not change the price paid field. | | | Pete |
