| Posted: | | | | This has been asked for many times, but I doubt it will ever happen. Best I can suggest is you use tags to show which titles in your database are VHS. |

I was collecting VHS tapes since 1979. My collection was about 500 tapes. I had to trash nearly my entire collection, because of the increasing poor quality. On the oldest tapes I could only see a kind of snow. So I'm afraid, earlier or later you have to re-buy your favourite films, like me! I hope that DVd's will be a little bit more durable. In the meantime you can add your tapes to the profiler! Just add them manually with a fake EAN, insert all available informations and tag them as VHS or so. Only problem: you cannot contribute to the database! HTH | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

HTH You don't have to fake the UPC , do you? You can add the profiles manually (without UPC or Disc ID), can you not? Personally I threw out my 700+ VHS collection many years ago - as kahless says, the quality just kept deterioating - even with original VHS tapes.... | | | Berak

No, you don't need to "fake" a UPC/EAN. By adding manually, DVD Profiler automatically assigns a Manual ID, i.e., Manual DVD #1, etc. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

I dunno how many not as much as my dvd collection. Once I get the recorded ones from TV or camcorder or high school play, I doubt there will be as much. Plus once I watch the never watched ones, I will be more picking on what to keep, I am sure I can get it down. Just need a tv and a vcr to use. Unless someone I can use my pinnicle av tranfer hit play and watch on my pc. | | | Thank You, Eric Vogel |

| Posted: | | | | Someone's gonna point out that this program is DVD profiler not VHS profiler, LaserDisc Profiler, etc. If you want to track your VHS titles, enter them as Manual as they say above and then set up a tag for VHS so you can filter on them. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 |

| Posted: | | | | Still it's not so complicated to add other media types as VHS, Divx, DVD-R, Video CD etc. Or let the users create easily any media type they want. I think this feature has been requested many times but still they didn't do it. However many other movie organizers have this feature. |

| Posted: | | | | And they won't, ougee. This is DVDProfiler not PickYourMediaProfiler. You can use the tag system to handle your other media but they will more than likely ALWAYS be local and NOT Contributable.

| Posted: | | | | Yeah but why this obstinacy? As I said this is not so complicated, and they already added Blu-ray and HD DVD. They're just rejecting many potential customers who would buy this software. I've been their customer for more than 2 years. But now I started using another software because of this limit of media formats. |
