| Posted: | | | | I bought my first blu-ray today! I'd really like the blue banner on the back cover too (without the blu-ray logo). As it is now the cover is too short, it doesn't seem right. | | | Laura |

| Posted: | | | | It's only on the front because it's only on the front of the actual product. As Dr. Killpatient says, you get used to it, I don't even notice it now. |

So I'm obliged to add manually a blue banner, (without logo) on back covers. | | | Images from movies | | | Last edited: by surfeur51 |

| Posted: | | | | That is called a personal preference and you are free to do so, inclusion of the plain (no data) blue banner also decreases the size of the relevant image and the data contained therein, also decreasing the readability of said data. I'll take the data over aesthetics in this instance.

| Posted: | | | | I see what you're saying but the banner is the whole part including the logo. I suppose Ken could a plain blue (or red for the HDDVD few) rectangle to the back but I personally don't see the necessity to do so. |

Not at all. Since the height of the window is determined by the DVD image ratio, the size of the image is made by its width , and with no back banner, I have just more blank. | | | Images from movies | | | Last edited: by surfeur51 |

Three reasons: - have the same size for front and back covers - fill a part of the blank due to the fact that the size of the window have the DVD image ratio - when browsing your collection, have a better immediate "it's a blu-ray" indication | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | I'm not fussed about it being there or not, but certainly have no objections to it. I personally would like to see the ability to switch the banners on or off for each profile regardless of case type. |

| Posted: | | | | Each banner switched on or off independently of the other would be fine. I like the front banner but am NOT at all interested in a back banner that contains no information. I would not scann them with that dataless banner, nor have I and find it utterly useles, so if a switch is to be used please make them independent.

| Posted: | | | | I honestly never realized that there wasn't a banner on the back. And I probably never would have noticed had I not read this thread. Even after verifying that there isn't a banner (I wanted to be sure I understood the issue), I thought it looked just fine.
So I guess that puts me in the group that doesn't really care. I'm fine without it. And since I failed to notice it's absence, I doubt that I'd notice its inclusion. So I see no reason for it not to be there. Especially since others seem to see the need. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.
