| Posted: | | | | I've been using DVD profiler for quite some time now, and I'm CONSTATNLY recommending it to friends, family members, and anyone I meet who has an extensive movie collection…. I’m extremely happy with my purchase to say the least. That being said, I’ve been looking into various programs that will allow me to catalog my video game collection. Having over 200 Xbox 360 games and hundreds more for other consoles, I find it difficult to keep track of who is borrowing what, which games I already have in my collection, and which ones I’ve already pre-ordered. I’ve found the “collectorz” software, however I was hoping Invelos would seriously consider an add-on to the DVD Profiler software; I don’t really want multiple pieces of software & databases. It would be AWESOME to be able to open up the DVD profiler software and look at my movie AND game library.. I’d be happy to purchase an upgrade or add-on, and I’m fairly certain there are others out there like me. (I’d be happy to scan all of my game cases and submit the bar code numbers from each if the ‘add-on’ were available.) Thanks |

| Posted: | | | | I agree with FNG. I've tryed the "collectorz" software but I find it too simple and not well organized. It would be great to have an Invelos Game Profiler as a module of DVD Profiler or stand alone piece of software! G. |

| Posted: | | | | It's simple. Create a Manual profile by unchecking the "Download from Invelos" checkbox on the add dvd screen. Then you can put anything you want in there, game covers, title, etc.
DVD Profiler is versatile enough that you can turn it into "Any Profiler". But it's called "DVD Profiler" so you shouldn't expect anything but DVD's in the online database. | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, for the record. This has been requested MANY times over the last ten years. Invelos has ONE programmer, count him, his name is Ken. He has to keep up with new releases of Profiler, MobileProfiler, the New IPod release (which is not even in Beta yet), DVDProfilerPlus (much talked about but nothing yet). The man has his hands very full,I am not diminishing the value of your request, just trying to explain it to you so that you don't hold your breath...I don't do cyber CPR. Hmmmm new use for my 50KVolt keyboard zapper ...maybe. It is simply not likely to happen anytime soon, nor will CDProfiler, BookProfiler, BeerProfiler, WomanProfiler or any of the many other Profilers which are possible. There are some other issues involved as well but the primary one is that Ken simply doesn't have time. Beyond that...what Doc said. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. | Posted: | | | | Regardless of the fact that Invelos is just one programmer, as keeps being stated around here the programme is DVD Profiler and since the majority of games machines nowadays have thier software distributed on DVD...so technically the request is valid.
The Programme is DVD PROFILER not Film Profiler.

| Posted: | | | | Except for one smal problem, Steve. The Rules define what a DVD is relative to the program.
"DVD Video, HD-DVD Video, and Blu-ray Video" discs (including MiniDVD): These discs contain movies, television shows, music performances and other professionally-produced and sold DVDs. No CDs, DVD-Audio discs, video games, Video CDs, or VHS titles will be accepted.
GameProfiler would be a completely different issue and would involve a lot more than the current iteration of DVD-based games.

| Posted: | | | | I agree with the other posters. I'd love for there to be a game, comic and book profiler but the fact remains that Ken simply doesn't have the time. Perhaps if he makes enough cash from his new projects he'll take on staff but I wouldn't hold your breath on that... you'll make yourself ill Maybe we could start some kind of sharing scheme of manually created profiles. Now that I'm out of a job and have waaay too much time on my hands I may start cataloging my other collections. |

..mostly in the "Remove from Collection*" category. No, you'd simply have to press "CTRL + D" and the "Drunken by ..."-tab of the personalization window will pop up. EDIT: Even though this will give you a very hard time on your next barbecue. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Jubal - Sorry, I didn't realize it was 1 person doing it all. You mentioned an iPod app & "DVDProfilerPlus".... got a URL handy so I can read up on these?
Dr. Killpatient - I understand I can force the DVD profiler to add my game library, but it'll be a complete mess.... I don't want Ghost Busters for Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 being grouped in with my Ghostbusters movies.
As I've said previously, I tell everyone that I know about this software.... most of them make the purchase after trying it... everyone who has purchased it has come back to me time and time again to thank me for the software recommendation. Now I just need an iPod app to go along with the DVD profiler. |

But you could easily have a database for Games and one for DVDs. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | Sorry to bump an old thread, but it's better than creating a new one, right? I completely agree with OP that there should be a games (only PS3 should do it )database connected to DVD profiler as well. Now I'm having a seperate tab for my PS3 games, but the options where you can enter info regarding an entry are somewhat lacking from a game's perspective. The database would of course be have to be user generated like the DVD/BD database is now, and I would love to contribute to the database, as I have done for some obscure DVD's/BD's in the past. |
