| Posted: | | | | Need a way to disable the "Profile Refresh Needed" information Box on start up. It is now programed to come up every 3 days. There is no way to disable it. I consider this a BUG in the software. Regards, zappman |

| Posted: | | | | I agree... the backup reminder can be turned off... this should be able to be turned off as well. | | | Pete |

You may wish to post in the feature requests forum to request an option to disable it. |

I don't want to refresh because I have over 5000 profiles.
I have customized many profiles over the years, I have them the way I want them.
If I don't want the original release cover, I use the one I want.
For the many of my profiles even the original release covers are different because I have higher resolution scans.
Many of my profiles use different names then the online database, such as 2 movies with the same name, I have changed the names to "Movie Name (19xx)" and " "Movie Name (20xx)".
If I don't like the way a cast or crew is from the online database, I change my local information to what I want.
Now I am worried that one day on start up I am going to hit the wrong button on this "NAG" screen and wipe out my customized profiles.
You do know that you can lock fields to prevent that right? For example, I also scan a lot of covers at higher resolution & then lock the Covers section of the profile to avoid having them overridden during a profile update. | | | Last edited: by Ardos |

| Posted: | | | | Well, if I didn't care for the online database I wouldn't even be using this program. I just hope that you refresh your profiles before you contribute, if you contribute. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |
