| Posted: | | | | Is it true? Or am I just not seeing it? Is there really no way to filter your movies on a certain production year? I was thinking about doing a mini-marathon on movies made the year I was born (or similar type years)... when I went to the filter section to see what kind of choices I would have... I couldn't find a filter for it. I know you can sort by the production year... but to me that just isn't the same. So if this is true and I am not missing something I would like to see if I can get any support for a feature request to add Production Year to the Filters. And if I am just missing it. Can someone please point the way. I would appreciate it. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Thank You!... I don't know why I didn't think of that... since I already have that plugin... but I do still think something that standard should be already in the actual program. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I think a filter is missing, but you could add the Production Year column in your collection list and sort it with this. |

No, but sorted you could easily flag the entries and run your favorite report ("Flagged entries only"). A production year filter wouldn't bother me, but I personally do not see an additional value. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. I have the four columns for my profiler as: First column(all)- Years of production of 2011 down to (in my case) 1915 ,, then second column(owned) - is catalogued assignment number third column (purchased) - as date old /newest (day-month/year) fourth column (wishlist) - need it to vague interest | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. A production year filter wouldn't bother me, but I personally do not see an additional value. I don't use reports at all. | | | Pete |

Did I miss the part where he explained in his Feature Request why sorting is not enough to prepare his Production Year Marathon™? | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. | Posted: | | | | Because I feel it is 2 different things and because I feel something that basic missing from the standard program is a heck of an oversight.
Most of the things you can filter by you can also sort by. What makes this so less important to be able to do the same with the production year? | | | Pete |
