| | Posted: | | | | I've just bought a Blu-ray with two DTS-HD Master Audio 3.0 tracks on it. Unfortunately, DVD Profiler has 2-Channel Stereo, it has 4.0, but it does not have 3.0. Can we have this added, please? |

About channels (for Dolby Digital and DTS), I also regret 1.0 and 2.0 tracks, as it is a very different information from mono and stereo, and much more interesting. The sound of 1.0 mono has not the same effect in a room than 2.0 mono. | | | | Images from movies | | | | Last edited: by surfeur51 |

I'm not sure if they're technically Mono/Stereo or Surround, but it would certainly be nice to get an update in the program to cover these oddities. I would assume the "Sensurround" is just the subwoofer bass track, judging by many of the older DVD releases. | | | | Corey |

We have digged into this issue before and if I recall correctly there is no surround flag carried by the DTS 2.0 data stream that can be detected by software, unlike Dolby Digital 2.0 which can either be "stereo" or "surround" (or even 2-channel mono). So how we could be expected to enter this information correctly in the database would be anyone's guess. Since there really is no compelling reason to make the distinction anyway, I have suggested that the program option should simply be labeled as "stereo/surround" to avoid this sort of unecessary complication.
