And no, I'm not interested in whether Microsoft likes that or not if it is my right. Unfortunately I don't have a recent key I could give away. But I too would rather advise to use OpenOffice or LibreOffice. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | Have you talked to your school about if they sell it? I was able to buy it from mine for around $25. It was over 15 years ago, but have a feeling some schools still do that. They get a bulk rate and are able to give it to students at a discount. | | | Lori |

I know I have purchased Office with more than one license, so that everyone in my family can have it on their systems...it is cheaper than buying 6 individual copies. It is possible that other people have done the same thing, and have an odd number of people, so might have an extra license that they are not using. What's the harm in asking? | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Because it's asking for something for nothing. When you buy a license you are buying it for yourself or the members of your household; and, at least here in the UK, when you do so you are expressly forbidden to give a license away outside of your household or sell it. I'm unemployed and I wanted the new version of Office (prior to coming into my inheritance) so I sold a load of stuff to buy it. |
