Taking into consideration your average purchase rate?
About a week.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Congratulations.  100 is a great milestone.  I just reached 396 after about 4 years of collecting.  Here is a question I bet you have asked yourself, because I know I have, will you replacing the majority of your DVD's with Blu?

I asked myself that multiple times...

The answer?

Started as: NO!
Then went to: Only on my Favorites!
Now is at: Only for Films that would take full advantage of Blu-ray visually!

So... I think the answer will ultimately end up being YES! by the time it is done and over with.

What's taking you so long Pete, you should be at 100 by now!

Congrats on that upcoming milestone.

I've upgraded a good portion of my collection but I don't think it will amount to a majority given that there are still a lot of DVD titles that have yet to be released to Blu-ray.

Excuses, excuses.

All kidding aside I have a number of duplicates I could send your way and I'm sure there are other members which can help you get to that 100 milestone sooner rather than later.

Blue-ray is 7.85% of my collection: 1640 titles.
I have and will replace those favorites where deemed worthy.

I think we are all trying to decide what is worthy and what isn't.  When I first started buying Blu I promised only new films.  Then I saw some of my older movies on Blu and said wow, I want this upgrade so it turned into well one here or there.  Then the collector kicked in and said just upgrade it all as possible.  Then I figured out what it would cost and went, if I hit the lottery otherwise not a chance.

Personally, I see Blu-ray as a elite format. I only buy Blu-rays of movies that are cult classics or movies that I absolutely love.

I think we've all done this.

Mine was something along the lines of:
* Only favourites
* New titles to the collection
* Movies with lots of dark scenes
* Action/sci-fi
...then I got a new receiver
* Musicals
...then a region-unlockable player:
* Titles I'd skipped because they were Region-A exclusive & locked (i.e. A Trip to the Moon, Godzilla, Deadwood... still wanting Black Mask & The Storm Riders)
Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!)
