The ability to edit/update “Personal Details” in an excel style sheet with pivot drop-downs where needed…this will make things like re-numbering, sort title, purchase/date/place/price so much easier & quicker to edit.

I know it's only 1 wish, but here's one more.

Currently the xml export has 2 options.

a) 1 large file which takes ages for a large collection.
b)  lots of individual files.

When doing individual files, it would be nice to just export profiles which have been changed since the last export. Changed should mean edited or personalised. Also the export should remove and xml files for profiles that have been deleted.

That DVD Profiler would expand its scope to elegantly deal with a collection of DVDs that I have seen, or want to see, not just ones that I own. This would mean tracking, and differentiating, DVDs that I have borrowed from others, as well as ones that I have rented. Additionally, DVDs that I own have been acquired through various means that should be reflected in the database, i.e., purchased, traded, received as a gift.

Nothing new from me.  My number one wish would be to somehow separate the multiple movies that can be listed on a single profile, closely followed by overview text effects.  The mulitple movie thing takes precedence for me because there's nothing I find more annoying than trying to search for the second feature on a given profile.

Answer me one question. To be a member of the Skippy fanclub is it your responsiblity to NOT completely read/understand someone else's comments? The improvements I wished for in 3.5 was that the programmer actually have time to program 3.5 and not waste their time making forum changes to help appease the masses of the troll.

I do not happen to be a member of anyone's fanclub.  And it is not YOUR responsibility to tell me what to do.  I am quite capable of reading and comprehending what someone has written, thank you. If you said anything about wanting time spent by Ken on programming instead of changing the forum, it wasn't clear.  The tone of your suggestion was to take pot shots at another user, which is irrelevant to the discussion of changes to Profiler.

Do that, then the time wasted on a worthless reputation system, forum blocks and whatever else is planned could be better used to work on the actual program.

Therefore a "pertinent" request. Helping the forum would just be an added bonus.

I know you think that this 'request' might be derailing an otherwise useful thread. But just think how many other useful threads will be saved if the troll was eliminatated. Show me one other thread that was locked that either the troll wasn't a part of or the topic of to make this request invalid?

Trolling, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.  I see many people posting here who could be called trolls, not just the individual you choose to attack.

So many good ones here, one that hasn't been mentioned (at least not in this thread) would be an expansion on the fields that can be changed on multiple profiles at one time (ie currently able to edit tags on flag profiles, would be nice to be able to set location, or some other fields) This may actually be handled by mlr's request, but I don't think it needs to be that fancy, just something like it is now (flag some profiles and then be able to change fields for all flagged) I would like to see a more powerful renumber collection ability as well.

I'd also be happy to see custom tabs, expanded purchase info, and more functionality in the mobile version: specifically as mentioned ability to edit notes/tags. As well as the ability to download profiles directly on the device.

I just use Tags to do all this. Or you could have a 2nd database just for viewed dvds

A few more colour schemes would be nice and a new look to the 'online collections' would be great !

Customizable tabs. Similar to the plugin but faster and more user-friendly.

Failing that, the ability to rename the Wishlist and Ordered tabs.

My no.1 wish: When adding a dvd by title, seeing a properly sorted list. And the possibility of sorting it by other fields as well, like EAN.

Wow, it's been more than a year since I posted this.

Still hoping, though...

to be able to 'click on a title'  (others recent purchases area ) and to be able 'to see or link to'  that title in its entirety ..

I just realized today that this feature does work.,, ( to a degree),, any title,, any posting, 'highlight' and 'click'  and you see what that title is in all its glory.. Have IMDB in your toolbar, and that title wil generate the web search over to  IMDB.,  using the built in search engine powered by Google and IE 7 .. It's good enough- until Invelos does this on its own within its own data base.
