Good day, Sirs,
according to IMDB Bill Butler was born on April, 7th 1921, not 1931.
I personally do not trust wikipedia in such issues. But can't make my choice between IMDB and filmreference.
Is there another source, or can filmreference safely be preferred to IMDB?

In one of the interviews on the Cinematographer Guild web site he does mention being taken by his parents to see The Jazz Singer (1927) Wikipedia now backs up the 1921 date. Also, 1931 is a bit late for his parents to have been homesteaders. I'm going with 1921. If there are objections, I attend University of Iowa and can check on his graduation date. |

I have had several discussions with Primetime21 and it appears that although this BY is valid from the perspective that this is the year he was born it is invalid because it is not needed.
I can find no place where this is documented, not in this thread or contributions. I have searched the entire site.
Also there is only a single entry for "Jeff Daniels" in IMDB.
With all that being said this should be added to the invalid BY list |

Using IMDB for the alt. names for the porn actor, the CLT results are as follows. Jeff Daniels =7 Luke Cummings = 0 Not this porn actor Jake Douval =0 Daniel Jefferson =1 (Crew) Mike Luckras =0 Petr Lukas =1 Lukas Wink =0 So according to CLT his common name is Jeff Daniels and a BY is needed to separate them in the database. FYI: One of the profiles for this porn actor has a BY of 1994 attached to him. Profile with the 1994 BY is: The Private Life Of Josh Elliot UPC# 826467-101322. Clearly this is an error. EDIT: Added the notes for that contribution. "Notes are from DVD liner. Jeff Daniels (1994) is used to differentiate from mainstream movie star Jeff Daniels."
