| Posted: | | | | I have used DVD Profiler on my PC for years and love it. And although I was recently able to use my HTC Evo to access my collection online, I would definitely be interested in an Android app that will allow me to more easily navigate my collection to prevent me from picking up duplicates while shopping and such!
I look forward to seeing this app for my Evo mobile device! |

Thanks for the link Lars.
Considering that, at the moment, there is only one device being marketed using this OS, seems highly doubtful that we'll be seeing anything for DVDPM anytime in the near future. That, and considering the fact that there are other OSs out there with much more market penetration that haven't had a version of DVDPM developed for them. Maybe only one user for Android because you don't have software for them ??? I am a user of dvd profiler mobile (windows mobile) but I am going to change with android phone (my new phone contract will begin on 13 december but I already owne a Galaxy S) so I will not be able to use DVDprofiler more longer :-(((( Market penetration today is (in France for exemple) : 1 - Iphone 2 - Android But android is increasing day to day So please, don't forget that all users of dvdprofiler for WM are futur users of Iphone and Android. From 13 december, I'll not be able to go on using dvdprofiler on my mobil phone. | | | Android 5 Samsung Galaxy S5 | | | Last edited: by Jack56fr |

| Posted: | | | | well guys and gals.. a bit of a set back in development. I was getting somewhere and was looking good (in a functional not pretty sense.. I still have issues with layout) however, I'd been testing with an xml file of about 40 or so DVD's I did a full test tonight with nearly 800 dvd's .. and it's not good. Seems there's some sort of underlying issue with the SQLite database that I've not accounted for. it's slow .. I mean SERIOUSLY slow. and it keeps force closing on me.. I think I'm running out of memory or something. Am pulling my hair out here. I've posted my code samples to various android development websites and messing around with caching code to buffer the read/writes. However, with the run up to Christmas I'll not be doing anything with it until the new year now. I really wanted to give you guys a little Christmas pressie with a free release.. but I'm too busy to do anything just now. I noticed another user above also developing his app he's got experience on the iPhone dev side.. so perhaps if you want something quick that would be your best bet.. I can't say when I'm going to get my one out now. still aiming for a Jan release.. work, and Wife permitting |

| Posted: | | | | It is a wonderful new to know that you are working on it. Despite the current problems I am sure you will eventually solve them. I will be waiting for your Android DVDPM version or, if it appears before, to the iPhone version (I will have to find a way to take my Samsung Galaxy S (personal phone), my Samsung Omnia (work phone) and also my iPhone 3G (not-really-sure-for-what phone) Regards! |

| Posted: | | | | Count me in too, please Will buy an Android HTC Desire HD soon. I can't understand why Invelos declines development for Android in this ignorant way.. Meanwhile it should be clear, also for Invelos, that Android will be dominant in the smart phone market in future. Shurely more than Microsoft... |
