Quote: I just discovered this is built in. Double click an actor, and when the actor window pops up, click on the place for their picture. This will bring up a google page full of head shots for that actor. Right click on the pic you want, go back to DVDP and past it into the headshot section for that actor.
Thanks, that really makes things easier, Thanks for sharing that trick

| Posted: | | | | That is great. Weird thing just happened though. I double clicked on the place for Bruce Willis' picture and pasted in a new image. When I looked again, not only was the image there, but 1955 had been added to the birthdate. |

Quote: Agreed, but it sure would be nice if we could just dump our headshots into a directory and DVDP would display them from that directory as long as it was an exact match to the name in the cast list.
Bingo! That would be an ideal solution. this is what the case was with the Roolku skin. All the headshots were in one directory and it picked them up automatically. | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | Naming convention was simply "the name.jpg" (or gif). The name had the same spaces as we see it on the screen, or hyphens for that matter.
So, some examples: "Courtney Cox.jpg" "Helena Bonham Carter.jpg" "Cow Yun-Fat"
Apparently, in the old days, the same person with different spellings (e.g. Courtney Cox Arquette vs. Courtney Cox-Arquette) needed more than one image; this might become redundant due to the new "credited as" feature...
EDIT: Hmmm, Marc was quite to the point there... | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) | | | Last edited: by nuoyaxin |

And what about different actors with the same name but a different birth date? why not just look in a directory unless a headshot has been saved in the database. That would cope with 1) duplicate names (store overide in db) 2) vast majority (store in directory) | | | Paul |

OK, I see Ken might be up to something, but now it's finished anyway, so you might want to give it a try: http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=30409 | | | Last edited: by Caranthir |

The file naming convention could be : firstname lastname date.jpg Or just make a plugin to import the images... the system in Roolku works but if there are 2 actors with the same name it doesnt work. |

It would be nice if that would work also from the "Edit Profile" cast and crew listing. There's a place to drag images to there too, but double clicking on it does nothing. |

That would be weird, as that was the only place where I could delete it... | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |
