| Posted: | | | | Dan, do you mean ThinPak rather than SlimPak?
SlimPak is round:

ThinPak is not:

I don't think I've EVER seen a retail SlimPak DVD case. I have tons of ThinPaks, however. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

While the current ongoing discussion may not be resolved, it would at least take the terminology confusion out of the picture. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. While the current ongoing discussion may not be resolved, it would at least take the terminology confusion out of the picture. Sure it will, Achim, until some user decides to complicate things again. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | I'm all for expansion on case types, but I'm strongly against distinguishing between a "slip case" and a "slip cover". I can't even remember which is which, and if I understand correctly, the only difference is whether the contents slide out horizontally or vertically. Like RHo, I feel that if anything, these should be treated exactly alike. Distinguishing between both variants is utter madness. Quote: Change "Box Set" to "Slip Case" This I also don't like, especially not in conjunction with my comments regarding "slip case"/"slip cover". Everything that comes in a "slip case" (or "clip cover", for that matter) is certainly not a box set. There must be other ways to distinguish between profile type and case type. |

A slip case has only one open side, a slip cover has two. And I think we should change the name from "box set" to "slip case". We definitely need a change to something, as having both a case type and a profile type called "box set" just confuses too many people. |

| Posted: | | | | While I support more cases. I also don't find the problems that so many users find. I do find that any Rule can be perverted and weakened by a determined user who wants to bend it to what he wants. I have followed the Rules for two years and worked on them for Three, and I don't have ANY of the problems that you people claim to exist, not EVER.

Still not sure I'm wild about Slip Case---will that include things like Ghost Rider where there's just a cardboard slipcase over a standard DVD case? | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

A Slip case has a single opening. A Slip COVER has two. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

Well, I don't know the Ghost Rider case, but there are a few oddball DVD releases that actually use a Slip Case for a sible-disc keep case. They'll have to be Slip Case then, after all, though, I guess. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | I would agree, Achim and that doesn't trouble me at all, it clarifies they type of CASING being used. It will also allow for such things asthe limited edition slips, eventually replaced by the plain keeper. case type is a physical property.

| Posted: | | | | Hmmmm? Miami Vice: Season One and Season Two are both TV Box Sets and they are both digipacks in Slip Covers. So you can still have SLIP COVER Box Sets. Sorry just have to throw a few more logs on the fire. Larry |
