No way!
"No" votes are often the trigger for unwanted PMs! Yes I have gotten unwanted PMs for my no votes. I'm to the point now that if I vote no, I have my reasons and it is my choice and not for someone else to question my opinion. I already ignore PM's I get for no votes and will continue to; so a place for the contributor to rebuttal would be a great idea. On the other side of the coin, if someone does not like "no" votes then they should not contribute, this is a use built database and there are some users out there that feel their contributions are ALWAYS right and like a little kid start throwing a fit if anybody dares votes no. Well to those users I say take your ball and just go home. |

When someone voted NO on one of my contributions and I felt that they were in error, I simply PM'ed them. But some people have blocked others so maybe over-ride the block for no contributions?
That said, I like the rebuttal option. Not editable by everybody. I meant by the original submitter. In other words, you submit a profile, and it gets a bunch of NO votes. If you can go back and add some further explanations to the Notes as the submitter, that might clarify things and people would change their votes. | | | John

I will read them but will not respond. If I miss something I will admit it and change my vote. Alot of my PM's from no votes are users complaining about my vote. |

Seems dangerous to ignore a PM simply because they're questioning your vote. Depends who the "they" are. If the contributor is questioning my vote and shows me his point of view by PM, I'm fine. Everybody else may of course question my vote, but there is no need to tell me the result. |

Yup, that's what I mean, only editable by the original submitter. This ability was brought up before and the argument against it was that it could be abused. I forget the specific examples, it's early and I also have to look in the bag to see what movies I rented after leaving Blockbuster. One problem I see about add info for the NAY'ers out there is that once someone votes, they don't see it any more unless they specifically go view it. If you have a lot of NO votes due to misunderstanding or incomplete source info, it's best to simply resubmit it with the info. |

The explanation is more for the screeners than for the ones who votd no. They might see a No vote and absent an explanation from the submitter, might accept that No vote even if its wrong. | | | John

I can go for that but I'd still prefer that they have the ability to add onto the contribution notes instead of editing it. |
