Point out specific things that can be seen as improvements. If you say something like "Improved cover scan, notice in the bottom left hand corner you can now read the text..." This will improve your chances of it being seen as a significant change.
Good advice, Gerri. It will not only help the screeners but the voters well. Often I don't see a difference unless it's pointed out to me. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? -Gerri Good to see the Notes on this Gerri,, Maybe my newer Midnight Cowboy covers will be approved. The older gold/silver foil covers scanned very dark from last year and they been sitting in the data base ever since.. I had trouble myself trying to get the scans to scan as 'my covers' have now been scratched (from being in between other tight fitting shelf storage for my Dvds ). I then took the original database scans and used ACDsee program to brighten and set different contrast levels to bring out the dark sides to expose... the Brooklyn Bridge !! The images are definitely brighter but also soft in texture. Until a scanner comes along that can duplicate gold foil money.., ahem, I mean DVD covers, we will have to put up with some covers that are not HI- Def in texture and lower quality scans for our data base. Now will someone please do something about Philadelphia ????? LOL | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | If I had Philly I'd try to help ya WSF, although I'm a straight up 50/50 on foil covers turning out either great or horrid (not counting the various versions of Freddy Vs. Jason I've submitted, all bad but still trying to rid the DB of those excessive blues. ). I'd be willing to bet you can get a better back cover scan off dvdempire than that Philly one now though. Probably get shot down (rightfully so btw) due to watermarks, but take it into paint. Just had to look and it's a toss up. Much easier to read and straighter, but far from good. | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |

No problems - go HERE search for the title, click on the front scan to get the high res image, copy and paste to your dvdprofiler, and repeat for the rear scan Thanks, Richie! I will definitely make use of this link. | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | As an aside - whenever I see a better quality scan I also grab it then and put in my database just in case it never finally appears as an update! | | | Paul |

Skip And I truly appreciate your offer to provide them. You have given me several good covers in the past. It's just much easier to download Richie's and I'm basically lazy. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges.
