My appologies fschuit. It wasn't your post. For the past week I've been struggling with Tinitus and it's really getting to me. I find it difficult to concentrate, sleep and it's making me short tempered. Until then, it's something I'll just have to live with. Perhaps I shouldn't post for awhile . Once again, I appologize for my post. Sorry to hear that you are suffering with this affliction. I have had Tinitus for my entire life. For the most part I have adapted to it, however, there are times, especially quiet times, when it can drive you absolutely bonkers. There are some dietary things that you can do to help reduce it, but I'll let your doctor do the prescribing. Hopefully, yours is temporary. Wish you the best. | | | Hal |

I also appologize for the "bite me" remark. It was uncalled for. Sorry about that . No worries. I figured it was in jest so it didn't really offend me or anything. My post wasn't exactly all sunshine and rainbows so figured I deserved at least one shot. Hope you get the ear thing figured out. I have it occasionally but it only lasts a few minutes at a time and it drives me up the wall during just that short time. I couldn't imagine having it constantly. I have hear of a product called "ringstop" advertised , have you tried it? I saw that advertised on the Internet as well. No, I haven't tried it but I'm heading out to get some groceries and will see if they have any. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

I don't know if it's tinitus, and it's not ringing, but I have what sounds like water running in my ears at all times. It's not severe enough to do anything about it, but for a while I kept going to the bathroom and kitchen to see what I needed to shut off. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? Quote: I Said dual-sided, but meant dual-layer. Which utilities do you use to get that type of information? We had that discussion here: a way of estimating with over 99% accuracy whether DL or SL with a program, or 100% by looking at the disc. Okay, will take a look at that post. Thanks for mentioning. Quote: There is another recent post somewhere - I think in the Beta thread that breaks out all the designations, inccluding the HD equivalents. Using the same method, official disk sizes, one could write a program that would detect them all, based on the size (number of bytes) of the disc. Well maybe in the near future we'll see this feature implemented. Thanks for your reply. |

Btw, I think that the functionality of those programs should be implemented in Profiler as well. Wouldn't it be nice to get all the info (disc id, no. of layers, regions) with one button? Exactly my idea. Will take a look at DVD Decrypter and DVDinfopro. Thanks for the reply. |

I'd get it checked out if I were you. One of the many possible causes of Tinnitus is cardiovascular problems which is the main reason I went to see my doctor about it. BTW, I've been speeling it wrong in my previous posts . It's spelled with 2 Ns, Tinnitus, not Tinitus. Read the Wiki Article about it. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Hopefully, yours is temporary. Wish you the best. Thanks Hal. Personally I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy...well, maybe there's one...nahhh . It really sucks. It started just over a week ago and it's been driving me bonkers. It's a constant high-pitched tone that just doesn't stop. I'd hate to think I'd have to live with this for the rest of my life. Hopefully the Specialist will find the root cause. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | To add a couple points addressing the OP for searching the forums try using google search with site:invelos.com works better than the forum search engine which tends to time out if more than one term is used. as far as some of your suggestions. a shared profile for the movie for different dvd releases has been suggested/requested. can maybe find that topic with google search and add your voice of support actors pictures: as said, the new beta adds a step in this direction so perhaps its something Ken will consider modifying the behavior on slightly to accommodate this. auto downloading of child profiles is a popular request (as long as its not fully automatic as not everyone uses them in all situations) so hopefully we will see that in a future version. quotes/sounds/ movie themes: these can probably be handled with an html window pretty easily and\or maybe the use of the notes field. Ctrl-Home/Ctrl-End do work to bring you to the first/last entry. I had actually asked for this at one point and was told (by I believe Ken himself about this). I would like to see the left right arrows work like they do in typical windows tree view. actor info: gonna here this is dvd profiler not actor profiler on this one i wouldn't mind some more actor info as well, or at least using birth years on all, but at this time, as stated, birth years have a specific use and unless Ken changes the policy on that any non-necessary birth years need to be kept local. more dvd info: personally, since there are already plenty of good tools that do this, and its really a pretty minor part of DVD profiler and doesn't take that much time I wouldn't want to see programming time spent on it unless it could be done quickly by encorporating calls to an existing 3rd party function library F1 help would also be nice, but writing help manuals can be a full time job and adding tool tips and help links is fairly boring and time consuming (at least for me) so I don't blame Ken for not having more of it. -Agrare |
