Does this toll go out and find head shots on the internet, or do you already have to have them on your computer?

Is anyone willing to share their folder of headshots?

I know they are local now, but having hundreds of movies would make the task of searching for headshots on the internet one by one a daunting undertaking.

If you click on the place where the head shot goes, it will take you to a google page filled with headshots of that actor. Well known actors anyway.

What was the exact name it stopped at? What are "the four dividers"? Can you continue by highlighting the 5th name and unchecking "start from top"?

I did that but there are a few inconsistencies that became apparent in the very first minutes. For example the picture for actor named Rufus. Its definitely wrong. I guess I will use them, although i will have to go through them and verify...

Well I've tried a few times - I keep restarting lower down the list of names and have so far managed to add 2 photos to the list..

I'm having the same problem as pauls42.

It runs for a while and then just says it's finished. the number of names it goes through varies from two to 50 or 60 before it stops. If I restart it, it will go for awhile again. I restarted it about 15 times and never got out of the "a's".

The other problem is that it did not insert a whole bunch of images that should have matched Alan Alda for instance, is in my image folder, but it did not insert him when it found him in the cast list. It does pick up some, however, but not others. It misses more than it hits.

The logfile shows that in many, many cases it was only looking for either the first name or the last name. It is clearly dropping data when putting the names together to try to find the image file.

I added the "slow down" patch, to no avail.

I am running a duo-core 2.3Ghz processor.

Let mine run this night and this morning it stopped at Scarlett Johansson telling me that it was an invalid JPG. Very strange but nothing to do with the tool because paint couldn't open the file.
Manually adding the pic to scarlett worked fine. Restart the tool from the next actor and here we go again

It's slow but can you image what time it would take if you had to manually go through your entire collection (500 movies)

For me it seems to be working fine. Last night I left it to do its job and today, after 10 hours of work, it was still running and had covered last names A-F. I stopped it and will continue from there whenever I am leaving the PC alone for some time... I haven't checked how many it might have missed, but for the time I followed its work, it found those it should have found.

(I'm using an old Pentium4 1,5 GHz, Win XP Pro - 1366 entries in DVDP)

So thanks Caranthir, this is most helpful! I will most likely be changing a lot of the headshots soon, but with your script I can get the base up.

I'm a bit at a loss here. It definitely looks like your machines are too fast. Try increasing the Sleep() value in the fix posted earlier, use Sleep(100) (that's milliseconds) for instance. Also look for the AutoItSetOption() command in the AutoIt help file, there are several global delay options that will slow down the script in general. Just add the statement to the start of the script.

First off, thanks a lot for this tool, otherwise I wouldn't even have started to add headshots.

I ran the program last night, and also encountered the error with an "invalid format".

My question now: how do I get the program to restart from the point it stopped? When I restarted the tool, I opened the cast list and highlighted the next name in the list (somewhere in the "G"s), but the program began back at "A".

And secondly: I also experiance the tool to miss a lot of actors (since I took the headshots from Doug, I don't know if there are shots for all actors skipped), but juts to be sure: the fix from Stephane might address this issue? If so, what do I have to do with the lines he typed? Do I need to add them someplace? If yes, where?

Sorry if my questions seem stupid, but I'm not that much into programming (not at all to be precise).
