| Posted: | | | | It's actually not irrelevant. As we're supposed to have things accurately profiled, there should be a way of showing if something is free or locked to all.
However I don't want an argument so I'll say no more on the issue. |

| Posted: | | | | If I came across as a bit harsh, I apologise. What I meant was the way the disc is encoded is irrelevant because: a) we're missing two codes (7 & 8) anyway so can't be 100% accurate. and b) I was taught there is a difference between "0" region and "All" region, however it's not what most people think: "0" region discs only have to allow regions 1-6, "All" region discs have to allow all 8 regions, but as we only concern ourselves with regions 1-6 it doesn't affect how we profile it.
That's why I said I would like it so I can log what is on the back cover for these discs. I think it's above and beyond to expect people to mark differences using 2 region codes we can't even log in the program, but logging what's on the back cover is something everyone can do. And to put it simply, wouldn't it look nicer than that "M" we get now? |

Regions 7-8 are ignored for the purposes of DVD Profiler. So I agree with the suggestion that a box be added that says "All" that could be ticked without having to either (1) select all boxes 1 thru 6 (or 8) or (2) unselect all boxes so NONE are ticked. That would make the rule more sensible. It says to list them as "all" but there isn't an "all" selection. Clicking on all should de-select any other ticked box. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. Could you elaborate on that? What DVDs have you looked at with what kind of software? What has been the result? |
