I think many of us already are using tags to flag B&W (and, for Pete's benefit) colorized titles.  But that doesn't mean it's the best solution.  I believe that color-status is a significant part of a film and should be considered along with many of the other things that are part of the master database.

BTW, not meaning to hijack this suggestion, one other thing that warrants its own field IMO is a check box for silent films.

In addition to colourised, there's "colour tinted" (for those titles that were shot in B&W, and then had a single colour, or a gradient, applied across the entire frame indiscriminately).

Also, where does sepia fall in all this?

As has been stated before, it's a popular, recurring idea, but one that isn't without the risk of stirring up arguments in a few odd cases.  I personally tag just for B&W at the moment (and use negative selection if I want non-B&W films), but would be happy to see it implemented in future.

Colorized titles, may you share a tent with Ted Turner and a flea infested camel for eternity.
Although, I think I have a few titles that have the colorized version with the original black and white version.

Silent movies on DVD.
They claim 865 DVDs and 1333 movies in their data base, who would have guessed.
We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.
