I always think locally deleting is easier than adding, but I also like the idea of having the option to choose at an update which crew member you will add.

If this will be included I'd like to see an addition: It would be good to have not just a writing field. I should also have the possibility to choose in this field the roles I have once entered. (Sorry, don't know how such fields are called correctly)

But in the suggested way I would just like to see it as option. If it would stay a must, the problem of the research which foreign language credit is this or that would remain. And for credits which would not match to the crew role perfectly, we would need new standard role names + we would lose the possibility of tracking new kinds of credits, because we don't have standard roles for them.
