| Posted: | | | | We will need to define these for the rules. At first blush, would say > 10% B&W AND > 10% Color = mixed. Sepia and other single-tinted films are classified as B&W. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

Sepia and other single-tinted films are classified as B&W. I can see this new color option becoming like genres--everyone will want to set theirs up the way they like it and lock it down locally. It's too subjective. I personally consider The Wizard of Oz to be a color film and I know that's not going to wind up in the database like that. --------------- |

| Posted: | | | | Going by what Ken said I don't think I will have to do much locally as it seems to be pretty much in line with my thoughts. The Wizard of Oz has always been mixed in my opinion. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I wasn't saying anything against what you said. I was just saying going by what Ken had said... that it don't look like I will have to change much locally myself. | | | Pete |

All broadcast 3D TV, at least on Comcast and Fios, is splitscreen, but I have never seen a DVD/Blu-ray that is splitscreen. Are there such discs? Yes, though it isn't common. Here's one (somewhat NSFW) example. There are also some field-sequential DVDs. See here. | | | Last edited: by Ace_of_Sevens |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Ken Cole: Quote: The defaults are 2D and Color. However, the DVD->Paste (and Collection->Flagged->Paste) have checkboxes for Color Format and Dimensions, so these are quick to set.
The options for dimensions are (checkboxes): 2D, 2D Anaglyph, and 3D Blu-ray. The 2D Anaglyph has the following hint: "Blue/red glasses or similar, or splitscreen"
The options for color are (drop-down): Color, Black & White, Colorized, and Mixed.
I realize that splitscreen isn't technically Anaglyph, hence the hint. These need to be grouped somewhere and splitscreen is too rare to merit it's own field. Uh-oh, what about releases which have more than one color option (version of the film)? e.g. Color and Black & White or Black & White and Colorized. | | | Last edited: by rdodolak |

I would also had preferred the color options to be check boxes instead of a drop-down. I have several sets where there is both black & White and color in the set. And before you say it... yes... have it in the child profile. But I have some where there is a film in B&W and another in color on the same disc. A lot of those multi-movie sets from Mill Creek Ent... like Horror Classics: 100 Movie Pack. I have more then one set where this is the case. I am hoping Ken will reconsider and make these check boxes instead. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Unless of course, Ken has something planned for multiple versions/films on one disc that would make this a "non-problem".
** Fingers crossed ** |
