Since you know it would you mind to share the source? Are you referring to the last part? That dvd profiler will never support that? Ken has stated that several times here on the forum, and requests like that has been shut down. |

Of course, I do not know how the app store works for MS and if this would cut into Invelos overhead... so my wishes are purely selfish. |

I do believe that dvd/Blu-ray disc support on laptops is going to be a thing of the past... eventually on desktops too. Things will move towards iTunes, Netflix, apps stores and such. I didn't care for Steam at first for a few of the games I play, but have found that 10 years later, I can still install a game that is in my library on any new pc I build.
I think the assumption would be that whatever you use to transport your media will be what provides the necessary codec... whatever that might be. |

To confirm, are you saying that Windows Media Player 8 does Blu-ray? I have yet to install Windows 8. I want to put it on a clean install on a bigger drive, but haven't had the time. But it appears that the Blu-ray codec is not part of it: I found it on this blog:Quote:
