Did you ever buy a movie that you knew you didn't like and why?

I own two movies I didn't and still don't like; they were both for my wife and they are her guilty pleasure movies because she gets such a kick out of them.  I was given the Matrix on DVD and regifted it without even removing the plastic.

Yes, to complete a series of movies.

I've definitely done that too.

I'm still not sure I should buy Hellraiser: Revelations just to complete my Hellraiser series though. Man that movie is a steaming pile of... It even makes some of the lackluster later sequels seem like masterpieces in comparison.

Several Tarzan films, including the 1981 film with Bo Derek.  I watched every Tarzan film ever made for a large project for my first masters degree.  Though I got a decent grade on it, I wasn't completely happy with the result, so I have this idea of revisiting the project eventually.  Anyway, there are some pretty terrible Tarzan films (especially in the 50's through the 70's) but if I see a Tarzan film on DVD somewhere that I don't have, I'll pick it up, even if it's one of the stinkers.  Incidentally, while the 1981 film is terrible, it's not the worst.

Have you seen Tarzan Instanbul'da?

Onar Films might still have copies available (subtitled)

No!  That's one that wasn't in our collection (The Edgar Rice Burroughs Memorial Collection) and I thought it had them all!

I'll have to see about getting one!

I'd suggest doing it promptly. The guy who ran Onar Films passed away last year, and his friends are selling off the remaining stock (at the lowest prices they've ever been).

?? Damn, I was wondering why I hadn't heard from them for ages. I'd also recommend the Kilink double feature.

Startship Troopers 3 : Marauders

Knew if was bad, and I sometimes like bad films because they off comedic fun. I picked it for for $2 new, I put it into the category as a bad rental at that price.

After watching it, I wanted my $2 back :D

What a waste of media lol
