Its no use calling DVDP The best when its not covering the customers requests.

Well, lets be hone....

I have used dvd profiler, then when it changed into invelos hands and got better bought it and continued to use it for many years. Hand's down, it's the best Dvd/Bluray catalogger on the market (shame it doesn't cover game's for all platform's too, hint hint)

To be honest though, I have been watching and sitting in hope for an android version for years.

I'm pretty sick to death of people thinking that all android users want is somthing for free.

There are countless posts from people wanting an android version (myself included) and we're more than happy to pay for it!!!!

If Invelos can pull it's finger out and and release it they will make a small fortune from us, but no. Instead we get penalised as everyone thinks we don't want to pay for somthing that we said over and over again that we would delightfully pay for.

So please, stop it with trying to single out and penalise all android user's because you think we want somthing for free when we have stated over and over that we'd be willing to pay for an android version.
It's one of worst excuse's I have ever heard in my life.

Wannabe Android version customer:- "Here, take my hard earned cash and please make an android version"
Invelos (and pretty much anyone who post's here who own an iphone etc):- "No sorry, we rather you keep your money and pretend you don't want to pay for anything and we'll use it as an excuse not to do an android version"

I'm sorry about the rant, but that's how I feel it's been persevered over the years by many and I'm pretty upset about it as people are just assuming that android users such as myself dont want to pay for anything when I do.

Is Invelos interested in keeping the DVD Profiler customer's at all? It would be a shame if such a great software was going down just because the developers seem to oversleep the market...

I've used DVD Profiler and the mobile version since many years now. But I have switched over to an Android mobile (Galaxy SII) and now I want to use DVD Profiler on this device, too.

So, what's up with an Android version now?

Regards,
Jo

You could always try the un-official android app in the other mobile thread. While it's at beta 0.4, it works (HTC Droid Incredible 2, not rooted).
Sure, it's beta software, come on over and help us work out the bugs  !

When that get's out of beta and polished up, if it still works with exports with dvd profiler I'd love to see it on the market for £15-20 and I'll grab it.

I rather give my money to someone who's at least trying to do somthing for android users

Cheers mate, can't believe I missed that, I'm so used to just checking these threads.

Can't wait to jump into the beta and eventually purchase the android version, a guarenteed purchase here
I know it's usually about $18.00 for a mobile version, which would be approx £12, but it include's update's for life like the pc version which I also purchased, so I'd be happy to pay £15-20 (approx $25.00-30.00 for that (basiclly the same price as the premium pc app).

I'll be keeping an eye on the announcement's

Not to be a downer. But with the usuall timeframes. Android version could come tomorrow or in 3 years. Ken is not that fast. But I really hope for it to come within a couple of months. But my instincts say: maby next year..

Good news if a bit late. I can't wait to buy the android version too. Hopefully it will run on my Lenovo as well as my Droid.
And since I no longer have a windows mobile device I paid for the software, maybe an upgrade to android migh get a discount.

FYI, for those that don't know how the design process on how it works for the android market. Here is a brief explanation. For all versions before Andriod 4.0 (Icecream Sandwich) the developer had to make the app for each phone. So if there is 500 different phones on the market, the developer had to make 500 different copies. But with the new Android 4.0 rolling out to all new phones, the developer only has to make one app and it covers all phones.

So this is very good for the developer with his time and money.

and having just upgraded my phone to ICS, good news for me

I wonder if this was the reason that Ken wasn't releasing anything before?

Not to rain on anyone's parade, Google release ICS over a year ago. It is on MAYBE 7% of eligible devices worldwide. What would be X% of invelos users?
I have an ICS eligible device. I am still waiting for Verizon to roll it out.  At least in the US, we're still controlled by the carriers.

As far as I know there is no official beta yet. Here's probably talking about Oliver's project.
