I've verified it works with the current 3.0.1 version. thanks for this - I was going to ask. Still only about upto L in the list.. Unfortunatley it still doesn't go all the way through without stopping.. what would be nice would be some way of having it just pick up the crew/cast for the last DVD(s) you added - still not sure how I'm going to update the headshots for when I buy some more DVDs.. unless I do them all manually I suppose.. | | | Paul |

You can use the Database Repair utility for that (Start Menu - DVD Profiler - Database Reapir Utility), just use full repair. Can someone confirm this? Be very very careful if using 3.0.0, as DVDProfiler will not find actors in DVDs inserted by Disc ID, so an actor may be in one of your movies even though DVDProfiler does not detect him/her/it (we have llamas, dogs and other funny creatures as actors). Don't know if this is corrected in 3.0.1. (I guess it is, but I haven't tested yet.) I don't understand why you want to remove these unused actors anyway... -Stephane |

At which name(s) does it stop? it seems random and I just manually add the picture that its choking on and continue with the next one. I assumed it might be because of a memory leak (or something like that). Or it didn't like the picture format (although I couldn't see anything wrong). Like Hal I have a fast Pc so I thought it was just something with that.. | | | Paul |

-Stephane I agree - I've been adding actors that I have good photos of so that If I get a film with them in it I have their headshots already loaded.. | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | I've had to restart repeatedly, with an error that says "Duplicate Name" and sure enough, there is a duplicate name in the cast list. I have a feeling that it is duplicates names where they are actually "parsed" differently in the cast list, e.g. Helena//Bonham Carter and Helena/Bonham/Carter.
When the program builds the name from either of these, it gets the same answer!
I'm up to the "S's" after three days............it's a damn good thing I have a second PC to work on! | | | Hal |

| Posted: | | | | I'm up to the L's, running pretty much continuously since Saturday morning..... I ended up with it choking on a couple double entries too, which were a couple corrupt cast members in Elmer Gantry (an extra space before the middle initial) and Sherlock Holmes Dressed to Kill (middle initial missing the period). Probably should contribute those corrected profiles. It had trouble with the Judi Bowker picture in the dougweb headshots file; for some reason it wouldn't recognize it as a jpg, though it clearly seems to be one. So I just added it manually and proceeded from there. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

| Posted: | | | | The program choked on Judi Bowker for me, too. If anyone's planning to leave the program running, they might want to delete her image from the headshot directory. |

| Posted: | | | | I am at the Ks and still chugging along. Thanks so much for this. Even if it stops working now and never works again (knocks on wood), it still saved me a lot of time.
Still trying to figure out how to best update my new dvds, but alas, that is a small issue compared to how to mass import the headshots. |

I'll update the tool so that it will also update headshots from the main window, for just a single DVD. Wil take a few days though. I'm still busy completing my headshots collection |
