| Posted: | | | | Quoting Daddy DVD: Quote: The credit table says Incorrect Roles: Studio/Company Names, and this indicates it's NOT OK to include them no matter if they are entered as dividers or not. That is your interpretation of the rule. Mine is as I describe it earlier in this thread. This is why I have asked the question. These profiles are being 100% accepted by the screeners too. Therefore, I would like Ken - or an official Invelos employee - to make a statement on this issue; thereby stopping the 'your right, I'm wrong' back and forth that's happening. I freely admit that the rule can be interpreted both ways - whereas others refuse to see that and simply vote NO. A simple statement from Invelos will either stop the NO votes or stop these type of contributions (I'm not the only one doing them!!) |

| Posted: | | | | Having a ruling one way or the other would be great. Personally I would vote Neutral as it stands now, because like you say the rule can be interpreted both ways. |

Further update on the issue at hand.....
The first rejection of a profile has occured. R1 with 5 yes and 4 no.
I'm now wondering if the US profiles are screened by different people to the UK profiles?! Maybe it's simply the fact that the UK profiles don't get NO votes?? I'm really not sure here.
A statement would really be appreciated. |

| Posted: | | | | As I said previously, it doesn't bother me one way or the other but to have some accepted and some declined is silly IMHO. I do think that an official view is needed here but it may take a bit of time while Ken & Gerri are moving. | | | Last edited: by Ardos |

| Posted: | | | | Quite right. I've had situations before where R2 submissions have been accepted but R1 submissions have been rejected, making a right mess of my database. Screeners should not reject or accept on the whim of voters, but should only use the votes as a guide to help them judge the submission accurately. |

| Posted: | | | | I'm sure the only reason why R2 submissions were not rejected is because they didn't got any No-votes or else they would and should have been. | | | Martin Zuidervliet

Except the point being made is that regardless of any "No" votes is that the contributions are either right or wrong per the rules, across the board not "They're OK for R2 but not for R1". I've seen quite a few submissions recently adding these and as Pantheon says they were all accepted. |

| Posted: | | | | Which means what? It's under consideration of including this in a new set of rules or it will be possible to add functional dividers in a new version of DVD Profiler. | | | Martin Zuidervliet

| Posted: | | | | UPDATE:
All other submissions (R2) have been accepted. Only outstanding submission with these dividers is The Green Mile.
Thanks for the update Gerri. Look foward to the decision. |

| Posted: | | | | I like to extend on what I said in my first post in this thread, since this request seems to be considered, that it will only be useful (for me) to add effects company dividers if those are:
A) Linkable, so you can see on which other movies the companies also worked on B) Attachable, so you can connect the supervisors who are credited outside (above) the company they belong to | | | Martin Zuidervliet

| Posted: | | | | For your B) Martin. IF someone is listed out side of Company Credits, especially since there can be several such companies involved . How do YOU know which company they would attached to and i presume you would document that attachment.

I notice that the final 2 outstanding contributions I made with dividers have now been declined.
Can I now assume that you have decided that these dividers are not allowed? I obviously do not want to submit any more until this issue is definitively resolved.
Many thanks |

| Posted: | | | | I haven't seen any comment from them, one way or the other, Neil. I have started using your system as it makes sense, BUT then I am not Contributing very much either.
