| Posted: | | | | Quoting Dr. Killpatient: Quote: Not that I'm sure I'll remember when it comes time, but was 10,000 headshots in each file easy enough to manage or would you prefer a smaller number? Personally I would prefer 5000 headshots per file, because I have a lot to compare. While you prefer photos of people around their actual age, I prefer having photos "in their prime" or photos where I think he is very easily recognizable. So I normally accept 25-33 percent, while I reject about 66-75 percent of the photos. Please, this is in no way critism on your selection of headshots and I am very happy that you took this difficult task to maintain the database. So please, don't feel offended. Collecting headshots is always a matter of personal taste, and you just can't argue about taste... |

| Posted: | | | | There's no offense taken.
I had thought about going with the whole Prime (height of their carrier) photo but there's no way I can know who's in their prime in what photo in every comparison.
Then there's the "Best Looking" but that's even more subjective. So I decided to go the route that left less up to speculation.
I asked the question for people like you because I know all to well what it's like to quit in the middle of a large import and having to skip hundreds if not thousands of headshots when I resume later. | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |

| Posted: | | | | 10.000 surely is the limit. 5000 might be better for the reasons SpaceFreak suggested.. As long as you don't have a lot of headshots it goes fast, but indeed having to compare thousands of headshots is time-consuming. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

I'll agree with this - the thought of the compare has put me off downloading v6 so far.. | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | Yup! Posting correct photos here is a sure-fire way to get a green from me.
I'll build the addendum on Sunday'ish. Corrections after that should be part of standard operating procedure (db updates).
I may go to more frequent updates to the whole database now that we're on a strict small database diet. |

Sorry I couldn't do it earlier, but the next update of my Japanese cast and crew is ready. Small file, but nearly doubled compared to last one. Wish I could've had it ready for HD V5 but I guess it'll have to be for V6. Those that want can update already: Taro_Japanese_cast_crew_02.dpb
Just a reminder, as always I've used Waapuro romanization method for the names. In short that means regarding other romanization methods that among others the following changes can occur: u / ^u -> uu o / ^o -> oo or ou
As before, all pictures are taken from official Japanese websites (actor/crew personal website or blog, talent company they are with, etc)
If anyone has a better picture of Toriyama Akira, feel free to let me know and I'll add it for the next update Thanks, Taro. Lots and lots of new pictures; I only had 3 comparisons. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

| Posted: | | | | I'd have to put myself in the camp wanting a smaller file size. These comparisons take forever. Or it would be nice to see a file which includes only headshots not included in previous files. |

Michael Talbott has image of ???
Chris, This image looks very much like the Michael Talbott I remember as playing Det. Stan Switek on Miami Vice. It's been years since I last watched an episode of Miami Vice, but that looks like the actor I remember. I don't have (or use) the Headshot Database and only occasionally look at this thread, but if your inclusion of this image means you think it's not of Michael Talbott, maybe there are more than one Michael Talbotts out there. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? | Posted: | | | | Quoting kdh1949: Quote: This image looks very much like the Michael Talbott I remember [...] That's because it is! All the "correction" posts in this thread are in the same format: someone says "actor name XXX has a wrong picture associated with it", and then supplies the correct picture. So that's what cvermeylen did here: he pointed out that the current picture for Michael Talbott in V5 is incorrect, and supplied the correct headshot. Antares had already done the same thing on page #1, by the way. There's really not much sense in repeating the wrong headshot, so only the correct one that should replace it is included in these "correction" posts. | | | Last edited: by T!M |
