Some people seem very eager to remove features that they do not use but make no allowance that others do use them. Here's an idea, lets just add stuff and not take it away.

Lots of things in profiler I don't use. But I don't request them removed.

It will be needed for discs with TWO (count them TWO) different films on them. Mixed indicates colour and monochrome in the same film. Multiple indicates colour and monochrome in seperate films like "The Mist" for instance or my copy of "The Thing".

No, because then you just check both color and black&white.

Once again that would indicate colour and monochrome in the same film. Currently if i want to do a search for mixed I can and if I want multiple I can. Take multiple out and I have lost a feature. Tick boxes don't suit me because I can't search on them.

Maybe you should learn to use them? They have three options each.

Mixed would be the proper setting for that.

I'm sorry what are you talking about? What 3 options?

Mixed would be the proper setting for that.

Yes but if you take out multiple how can I find the DVD sets I have that have different versions without farting about with child profiles? As I said add options to the program don't take stuff away.

Of course you can search on them. You can even use "And" and "Or" operators.

OK if I choose colour AND monochrome I would get mixed AND multiple. If I choose colour OR monochrome I would get everything. How would I be able to get JUST multiple using that system without as I said farting about with child profiles.

Color AND Monochrome would be correct. You will not get "Mixed" with that filter, because mixed is a different checkbox.

You would get mixed as well as multiple because the program would have no way of differentiating on only the two operators.

What you're after is fully supported with the change to checkboxes.  Filtering is more powerful, not less.  3.8.1 beta will start shortly and you can check it out.

Oh, no.
As Kulju said, maybe you should learn to use them first, then we can discuss.

I'll take your word for it, Ken. I'm sorry but my discussion was based on the premise that there would be no checkbox for multiple. If there is then it won't be a problem. Now if I could just get you to make "16x9 enhanced" available for custom media formats all would be right with the world. The option offered being to choose standard DVD as well as my custom format does not suit me. Yes I know, I'm bloody minded.

What field exactly do you mean by "Custom Media Format"? Media type?

I wish a Custom Media Type would allow me pick Blu-ray 3D under Dimensions without having to select Blu-ray under Media Type, but alas it does not. Maybe 3.8.1 Ken...nudge, nudge, know what I mean???
