| Posted: | | | | I've upgraded to the latest version (0.91 for the plugin, 0.92 for the .apk), and it won't display anything anymore. The list is completely empty, but the collection stats show numbers (which makes me think it finds correctly the database). Any idea? I'd love to be able to go back to the previous version...
(Running on a Samsung Galaxy Note, with Android 4.0.4.) |

| Posted: | | | | Bu sure you exported the database created with new export plugin. In next release, I'll include a version number in the DB so I can check if db is good for application. |

| Posted: | | | | Hello,
Of course, the app at $55 via Paypal was an april joke. Not as great as Google Nose, but ...
The app is free and will stay free.
Next version in one or two days.
Regards,
Olivier. |

I've no idea what went wrong yesterday. Sorry for the noise. |

Uninstall android application from device before installing the new one. APK signature has changed since one of the previous version, so it may not install.
DO NOT FORGET TO EXPORT YOUR COLLECTION TO DEVICE BEFORE USING THE NEW APPLICATION (for a new install : run the app first to create folders structure on you device).
Do not expect a new version before April, 17th 2013 as I will be on vacations (just bug fixes or install problems in the next 2 days). |

You gotta love Norton! NOT! Just run the file on the machine you need to. It's not a virus. Honest!
As for ABD running 45 minutes: 1) you have to be in disk drive/device mode 2) There is what looks like a drop down menu. That should populate with the phone ID (you may need the button to the right). 3) Yes it takes a LONG time, and for me never finds dvdp_is_here.
Did you run Droid DVDP once, and get the black screen? This automatically sets up the folder structure on the micro SD card. That should be the last new letter on your machine.
Were you able to get your phone in disk mode? The folder should be on the micro SD card NOT the main memory. . That is when you use "Use removable disk"
See what you can do this info, and we'll go from here. You missed my next post. . . . Quote:
OK, installed both files. The folder DVDP_IS_HERE is not there. Tried to create the file but the Exporter (Use Removable Disk) will not recognise it.
ADB ran for 45 mins before I shut it off. Both files are installed and appear to be working except that The file DVDP_IS_HERE is missing and when I create it, the plug-in will not recognize it. | | | Dan | | | Last edited: by Dan W |

I just delete all my Droid_DVDP directory on my sd card, run the application once, and the directory structure was created. Then I ran the export plugin without problem. And now the application show my db. The directory structure IS NOT CREATED DURING THE INSTALL PROCESS BUT THE FIRST TIME YOU ARE RUNNING THE APPLICATION. Then it will tell you that the db version is not correct (because db is not even there) and export your collection. 'droid_dvdp_is_here' is not a folder, but a file located in the 'droid_dvdp' folder in the 'sdcard' : /mnt/sdcard/droid_dvdp/droid_dvdp_is_here is the full path |

If you aren't getting the phone and the sd card to show as drives, that is where we need to start. |

Now, if you open that folder, do you find dvdp_is_here, and a folder structure (from running the app once and getting the black screen)? *IF* you find it in that folder, What drive letter does it have on your computer? |

When I first hooked up my phone, I was asked if I wanted to install drivers. I figured that was odd, as everything was USB, however, I ran them anyway. I did get the HTC Sync program (Not needed here), some Verizon bloatware, and I think a driver to recognize my phone loaded. I know if I open my phone, the furthest I can go is one folder as the phone is locked. You might check with your carrier's support line (their usually fairly good) and see if a driver is needed. Or check the carrier website. | | | Last edited: by Fingerlakes Dave |

Now the plug-in is gone in DVDP on my computer. Maybe I can just manually copy the db??? | | | Dan | | | Last edited: by Dan W |
