First Spain, now Italy.

What have you been smoking? It's Spain and England that have been sent home.

Wait, England was also in the competition?

Spain is a crappy leauge, they only have two or three good (in international terms) teams. I would put France and Germany ahead of them at this point, maybe even Russia and the Dutch.

And of course, looking outside Europe, there is South America. Now those are very tough and demanding leagues, and it shows in the world cup.

I'm sorry, but that's rubbish. Spain: just look at the past seaon. Real, Atletico, Barcelona, Valencia and Sevilla all came far in either Champions League or EuroLeague, outperforming any other national league. 3 of the 4 finalists were Spanish. South American leagues are not that brilliant - almost all their best players are playing in Europe.

Well, more luck than class for Argentinia... Pretty disappointing, but a great effort shown by Iran.

Next match: Germany vs. Ghana

While Ghana may be the strongest team from the african continent, my guess is a 3:0 win for germany.

Well, 2:2, and Ghana really deserved it.

Yupp!
and Ghana even was closer to a (deserved) win than Germany.

Great game (in the 2nd half), my fingernails are now significantly shortened.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Great second half indeed - what a match: fast, with plenty of chances at both ends.

Born in communist Poland 1978, left communist Poland 1978. Germany's all-time top scorer. Tied for the most goals scored in the World Cup with Ronaldo.

Move along now, there's nothing to see here...
Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it?  Guttermouth "Lemon Water".  Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally.  So I'm an anarchist, deal with it.  Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted...
