Hey Astrakan

I've tried to add your shots to my Database and keep getting the following error...

Weird.

Anyone else get this error? I'll do a re-export and re-upload.

Second: My Headshots for all, who had not enough Pics!

I cannot open your files, I tried with WinZip 14 but no matter which one I try it tells me "The file cannot be opened as archive".

I have the same problem. Unsuccessfully tried with the lastest 7-Zip, StuffIt Expander and PeaZip. Renaming didn't work either.

It seems to have a PKZIP header, though. Perhaps the zip file has been splitted after it had been packed? Unlikely, but who knows... can't test it yet, still downloading the last part.

Snoopy_7 ?! Heeelp!!1!

I had no problem whatsoever with your file, Astrakan.

Snoopy's files however are indeed impossible to open. I'll try SpaceFreak's suggestion.

No, works fine. Just tried it again and even re-downloaded it. No error.

Hi,
thanks to you and all others for sharing the images, but I cannot open your files, I tried with WinZip 14 but no matter which one I try it tells me "The file cannot be opened as archive".
Any ideas?

Regards,
Uwe

Try renaming them like this and then open the .zip-file:

Snoopy_7_Headshots_Part1.zip -> Snoopy_7_Headshots.z01
Snoopy_7_Headshots_Part2.zip -> Snoopy_7_Headshots.z02
Snoopy_7_Headshots_Part3.zip -> Snoopy_7_Headshots.zip

Yep, it worked, thanks very much.

Okay. Thanks.

Sorry bizarre_eye, not sure what's wrong. Maybe re-download the file again? I did replace it with a new export.

I've tried re-downloading the dpb file, but the problem still persists. I'm not doing anything different that I haven't done with anyone elses updates - anyone have any ideas?

Try to run a full repair on your database before restoring. Astrakan's file should be ok...

Hey Muckl

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've tried a full repair (twice now), and still no joy...

Have you tried to restore Astrakan's file into a new, empty database?

And what version are you running? 3.5.1 or the new beta?

Yep.

Am running 3.5.1.

I've re-downloaded it and am still getting the same error...

I'll have a play about and see what I can do.

Thanks anyway though guys.

For all, who had Problems with my Headshots, rename like this:

Snoopy_7_Headshots_Part1.zip -> Snoopy_7_Headshots.z01
Snoopy_7_Headshots_Part2.zip -> Snoopy_7_Headshots.z02
Snoopy_7_Headshots_Part3.zip -> Snoopy_7_Headshots.zip

after that, it should be going on!

Yay, it finally worked.

But only with WinZip and WinRAR, no other free/os software can open the archive. Never had these problems before...

Worked for me, using WinZip. I'm getting a file called backup.dpb, 538,750KB in size, dated December 14.

Last time I installed Winzip, it messed up Window's ability to work with zip files and uninstalling didn't help.  I'm not touching that app again.

I can recommend winrar: doesn't cause any problems with Windows and it handles many compressed filetypes, including .zip but also .iso, etc
