| Posted: | | | | I have seen this a couple times in this forum and the old one and I know everyone loves them polls. This is in regards to a way to group DVDs together more as containers or dividers instead of using manually created boxsets as some of us do. Something like Insert -> Container and give it a display name, sort name, and add DVD field. This wouldn't be something that got a collection number because it is more for logical sorting such as grouping all the Vengance movies together or Evil Dead/Army of Darkness. | Posted: | | | | I have all the bond listed together in order they were released in the spot where Bond would be in alphabetical order. I did this by editing the sort title.
Would that not be able to do what your example shows "All Vengenge Movies together"? just update the sort title to Vengenge____ filling in what you want. Like I have for Dr No in Bond, I set the Sort Title as Bond:1959
Although I do think an easier way to do this would be nicer! So some kind of interface to easily modify sort titles. Like select the titles you want. Choose a menu item like "Group DVDs" and then get a screen that allows entry of some varaible for the start and drag and drop the order of the selected DVDs, and then when you save the form it puts in the sort title the value you entered and number based on the sort order.
Just a newb's thoughts
