| | Posted: | | | | Now that we can add crew for TV shows (which I already had been doing for years, by the way), can we get a 'creator' addition to the writing credits, please? Lots of my TV shows have writing credits like this:
created by XXX, followed by written by YYY
or sometimes even:
created by XXX, followed by story by YYY, screenplay by ZZZ
I am now using "original characters by" - I can't use "writer", "screenwriter" or "original material by" because all of these are already used by the other credits. I'd really like a "created by" entry. |

Skip Where is Story by defined as OMB in the rules Skip? OMB is for another medium that is adapted for the screen - in this case it is not, it is writing original material for the screen. IMO it should be Writer - but I accept that is only a personal preference, as the rules do not give any guidance. | | | Andy

In order to get 'Story by' into OMB, one has to lean more on the fact that there are no role names listed for OMB (so it could be 'Story by'  ) and lean less on the phrase 'from another medium'.
