It would be really cool if the program checked for new versions either on startup or periodically and then prompted for approval of the update, rather than making the user have to keep checking the site for new versions.  With the old DVP getting upgraded only every few years, that wasn't a problem, but with 3.x there have been at least 3 new versions in as many months, so a better method of announcing upgrades is needed.
