| Posted: | | | | It would be nice to be able to click on the Loan Status icon in the General Info frame to open your email client and create a new message and put the users email address (which is specified in the User Info) into the To: address field and create a setting so the user can set the default Subject line. It could tie into what ever MAPI mail client that is defined as the default mail client very easily. |

BTW Martin I don't loan my DVD's to anyone. I spent too many years with the BB and have seen too many Videotapes ruined because renters don't repect the rental. And i would suspect that your funny little picture is something of of a TOS violation. I would suggest not using it again.
Skip Skip - Nobody really cares if you are a movie prick or not. If you want to keep your DVDs to yourself, that is your choice and your right. Stop whining when others are not so selfish. IN REGARDS TO THE ENHANCEMENT REQUEST:I think that this is a good idea to allow emailing to the email address setup in a User Profile. I also think that it would be cool to add an option to allow DVD Profiler to send an email on your behalf automatically once a DVD is past due (and maybe every XX days afterwards - a little more difficult). This would require that the application be running and would verify the date(s) every time that it starts up. I was actually surprised that there is check out/check in functionality built into the product, but no notification options... Also, if you allow the Admin to build a basic template for the email that woudl be used for all notifications, that may help (you could allow an email template to be specified in each User Profile, but that may be overkill initially). It is not hard to interact with the default email client and to send an email out. The only problems occur when somebody hosts their own Exchange Server version 2003 or later and it keeps spitting out messages like "An application is trying to send an email on your behalf..." (stupid Microsoft), but there are fixes for those as well. | | | Last edited: by nwanamaker |

Yeah, very funny... NOT! I already knew you are a hypocrite. Now I know you are antisocial too.
Oh come on, seriously. Antisocial? Not willing to loan ANY DVDs is very common among collectors and it's the same for any other collections too. It's perfectly understandable too if you have ever seen how non-collectors handle their stuff. Just try to buy a random bunch of lets say used PlayStation games from Ebay and you'll get a feeling | | | - Jan | | | Last edited: by hydr0x |

| Posted: | | | | I understand that a lot of people may not like to loan their DVD's however I still think it is a good enhancement idea for users that DO loan them out and would like to notify users of overdue loans. |

At least they were in pristine condition! As for the original request, even though I wouldn't use it (the few people I actually loan too usually return them in a timely fashion, and if they don't, it's usually because it's a season set ), I'm all for it! It's something that takes just a few seconds to implement anyway. Ah the joys of selective loaning! I've had 1 person bring a set back with a scratched disc. You know what? He actually brought back two! The replacement, and a brand new, factory sealed one, to replace it! Niiiice! I have good friends | | | Last edited: by RossRoy |
