| Posted: | | | | Pre version 3, we had the option to display the SRP currency country code. This hasn't made it into version 3. Any chance we can have it back.
Non US users typically order dvd's from all over the place and lots of these countries use the symbol $ for their currency. I've got dvd's from USD, CAN, AUS, NZD, HKD, SGD and they are all dollar's. Unless I go in and edit the profile, there is no way to see what currency they are in.
So, as I said, please can we have it back. | | | Home of the phpDVDProfiler forums |

| Posted: | | | | I haven't notices this before, and now that you brought this up, I like the idea. However, I did not like the way the currencies were shown in DVDP 2.x. Eg. the expression "€29.95 EUR" has the same information twice. The currency symbol € carries the same information as EUR.
BTW, it was not country codes which were used in DVDP 2.x, they were ISO currency codes.
What I like better is use either the currency symbol or the three letter ISO currency code. That would require that for currencies like dollar you have to create new symbols, eg. US$ AU$ CA$
Somebody might prefer the currency symbol over the ISO currency code, therefore it should be an option in the settings. | | | Last edited: by Jykke |

| Posted: | | | | I do not think we need this, because if for instance a profile has the United States Locality it should be obvious that the SRP's currency has to be US Dollar. | | | Martin Zuidervliet

That pre-supposes that the profile information is, in fact, correct. I suspect that you are not asserting that. I have many profiles that are Canadian locality, which have US SRPs. Without an indicator I cannot quickly tell that they need to be fixed ... | | | -fred |

| Posted: | | | | I'm having the same issue as Fred mentions. The locality is either US, Canadian or Australian, but the currency is showed as $xx.xx. Not a lot of help as loads have the currency in USD and not CAD or AUS.
Don't really mind how its displayed as long as it can be.
In v2 it was an option you could turn on or off. | | | Home of the phpDVDProfiler forums |

Maybe that's why the older version displayed both the symbol and the code. | | | My 4x4 Club: Club FJ Cruiser Quebec DVDP Français: Forum DVD Profiler Français DVDCOL:DVD Collectors Online Video: LG RU-42PX10 Audio: Sony DreamSystem DAVFX100W |

| Posted: | | | | I'd really like to see the ISO currency code again. I don't care for the currency symbol at all. |

| Posted: | | | | I too support this; I have quite a few US releases purchased from Canadian retailers etc. and also when I do limited info reports without Locality on them there are other country's dollars too! | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, I'd like to see this back too. Plus the ability to add a conversion rate so you can properly total things up would be great! |
