| Posted: | | | | Well, I'm not sure how feasible this is but, wouldn't it be cool to have a feature that could check your DVD collection against those of all the other users and make a comparison chart, present you which titles you share with X number of users or give you a list of users that share your same taste in movies? Maybe it can be done within the program or at the website, whichever suits Ken & Gerri. I guess this could open up the community a bit and maybe Lopek will find out that actually, he shares the same taste in movies with Skip. If any of you use Last.fm you'll know what I'm talking about with their 'Taste-o-meter' feature. They do it by comparing music artists, and I guess with DVDs it would be easier to do that by UPC, although the drawback would be that you would lose a good chunk of users that do not share the same region. So, would it be possible to do this by DVD title? What do guys think? | | | Funny, these cookies don't taste anything like Girl Scouts.

| Posted: | | | | Great idea, but one small problem - due to many, MANY, different version of the same film on DVD/HD/BR that are available, not to mention the region specific versions, it will not show that you and I may have the same Movie, but different versions.
But, hey, I like the idea (and you need to be able to opt out) | | | Signature? We don't need no stinking... hang on, this has been done... blast [oooh now in Widescreen] Ah... well you see.... I thought I'd say something more interesting... but cannot think of anything..... oh well And to those of you who have disabled viewing of these signature files "hello" (or not) Registered: July 27, 2004 |

I completely agree. As lmoelleb pointed out, the best option would be doing it by Original Title. | | | Funny, these cookies don't taste anything like Girl Scouts.

| Posted: | | | | Good idea. Also like the fact that this request has been made as a poll as I think all should. That way Ken can easily see how popular a request is. |

| Posted: | | | | Well, the way you presents it could work, but I must admit that I would "just" like to have an indicator of how many others own the same DVD as I do - by same, I mean the same EAN in the same locality... | | | The future is here. | Posted: | | | | I guess a problem some people may find is, that there name could show up in a list... So I guess it would have to be made optional to join the "feature" by name, anonymously or not at all...
I like it. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | Good idea. No problem with the fact that the other will see what I own. All my title are on my public DVD collection. By the way I'm more ashamed to own "Glitter" than "Where the boys aren't 6" |

| Posted: | | | | This would be a really nice feature, I would appreciate this. It should be implemented on basis of the EAN/UPC. I could also imagine that there is a kind of button in the profiler like "display user owning this title". | | | Thorsten |

I like it. This could be controlled by the visibility settings (private or public)?! | | | Thorsten |
