| Posted: | | | | Hi, I'm migrating my DVD collection from one piece of SW to DVD profiler. Rather than re-entering the UPCs into DVDP, I'd like to be able to export from the old programme in CSV format and then import a list of UPCs into DVDP.
There is a plugin (http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=154713) (http://www.geocities.com/goodguy_dvdpro/ImportUPC/ReadMe.htm) that allows you to do this, but I'm having problems with it. I think if it was a supported feature it would work seamlessly. |

| Posted: | | | | Coombsy. You are correct it would be a great idea but, one of the more advanced plugin developers said this in another thread. Legally speaking he is correct. Quoting Mark Harrison: Quote:
That would be the ultimate solution, but Ken is still working on that. The problem as I understand it, is that Invelos must be very careful about what they officially endorse considering how easy it would be for someone to write malicious code and present it as a plugin. If they host the plugins on their site, it could cause them headaches is someone were to do something like this. The current system of users posting links to their own plugins hosted elsewhere insulates them to a small degree.
But I do believe Ken it trying to address this issue at this time. | | | Brian |
