| Posted: | | | | I would like to see a tool, which allows to extract the headshot images from the actors-db. Reason: Here are MY headshots, for the cast/crew I wan't them - I don't need a huge collection of headshots - I only want' MINE! (e.g. for use with phpDVDProfler on my website)
OR
Please, Ken - let us save the headshots in the filesystem - just like dvd-covers and thumbnails .... |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, this would be great. I suppose if I want to remove headshots that are not in any of my profiles I have to initiate a database repair?! Didn't have the heart to do it | | | Thorsten |

Of course a plugin could resourt to some of the same dirty tricks the existing headshot importer use, but then it would not be any real benefit it's a plugin. | | | Regards Lars |

| Posted: | | | | Let's remember people, that the headshot database currently running around is NOT an Invelos product, though you can import it. I know how much you people hate it when I say this, most celebrity photographs are Copyrighted by somebody. Fair use allows you to use them in your own local database, but once they are shared as in the Headshot database then anyone importing them becomes lrgal fair game, the chance of action being taken is admittedly remote, but the chance does exist. Which is why I create my own set of Headshots and with the exception of many headshots I have created directly from the DVD via Screen cap, I will not share them. I THINK, but I am looking into it, that sharing headshots taken from the film would not violate fair use.

You can already cut and paste into the program the headshots, why would importing add anything.

| Posted: | | | | Skip, just because you don't have a use for it, you don't have to fight it. It"s a feature request It'll be up to Ken to decide, what to do with it. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | You're asking Ken to incorporate a function into the program that will facilitate the importing and exporting of possible copyrighted material? I don't think it'll happen. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection | | | Last edited: by Bad Father |

| Posted: | | | | I would be happy if the program stored the headshots the same way that it stores the images. Ie. not inside the database, but in a special folder. Since Ken has already decided to store these blobs of data in the database, I support the feature request for a simpler, additional mechanism for extracting that data, in addition to the existing cut/paste mechanism. | | | -fred |

I don't think it'll happen. Agreed, and anyone that woul develop a plug-in would expoes both themselves and every other to potential legal actions. Achim I am not fighting it as I noted above, but by the same token the ramifications must be recognized by al and as we say in this country ignorance of the law is NO EXCUSE and in no way diminishes the legal exposure. While individually we don't represent a big target for such actions, however Invelos and the Community represent a very LARGE legal target. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!!
