| Posted: | | | | It's hard enough to have to wade through all the weekly updates, but once you've looked at, and decided on, accepting one of the titles you have no way to know at a glance which ones you've done. This is particularly true if you get interrupted and have to come back later.
So, I think it would be super if after I've looked at the changes and/or contribution notes the title in question was highlighted somehow in the list. For example, if I look at Notes only, highlight that entry by changing it to a different color like light blue. If I have looked at profile changes and accepted some or all of them, change it to green.
That way, as I work through the list, I can tell at a glance which ones I've already processed, and to what extent. | | | John

Sounds interesting, so if I understand you right you like to track your profile changes?! E.g.: I have locked my entire collection and if there are any changes I have to preview every change of every single profile, so it would be an advantage to see what I have done in my collection... Sorry If I did not understand your request correctly (my English is in need of improvement...) but maybe I' m thinking about a similar problem... | | | Thorsten |

Now all updates are deselected. Now when you wade through the updates, the accepted are checked. When you press OK, only those are updated, leaving the rest for the next time you have time to continue. That's what I do, but I'd vote for any sort of improvement. One time, I waded through the most of the list and somehow managed to catch the select all option! | | | Jon "When Mister Safety Catch Is Not On, Mister Crossbow Is Not Your Friend."

When I tell DVDP to download the update list I get all the updates released for the titles in my local database.
If there are 75 updates, I want to be able to see which of those 75 I have looked at contribution notes for (color those light blue), and if I have then accepted any of the changes, I want the color to show as green. This lets me avoid looking at the same entry over again by mistake. Also, if I have to stop for some reason, an exception file should retain the status of any entries I haven't processed yet, and when I come back later to finish, it should pick up right where I left off.
Part of the point of the color is to let me know not only those I have NOT looked at yet, but if I've already looked at changes, I can go back and go right to accept or not, instead of sometimes ending up checking notes two or three times because I've lost track of where I was. | | | John

I don't understand. If I look at the contribution notes / profile change for one of the profiles then I either accept all the changes / accept some of the changes / reject all the changes. At this time when I apply these to my profiles then these changes will no longer appear and I know that all the entries remaining are ones that I haven't looked at. | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe it would work better if when you downloaded the updates, there was a column that showed you what you voted on each profile. So you can easily see which ones you voted yes on, no on, neutral or didn't vote at all. And maybe options to only select the yes votes so you can accept them, clear them from the list and go through the rest at your leisure. |

That's why we have the ability to accept or reject separate sections of the profile changes. | | | Paul |

I doubt that Ken will want to do the programming for that, though, which is why I suggested a color change (like the Yes and No votes in the voting page) to show which items in the list I've already looked at. | | | John
