| Posted: | | | | We need to be able to make a list of approved CAST & CREW with birth year already associated with them or maybe we can color code or use a special font for approved birth years. With this info I could use the cut and paste method of making/submitting a new profile when the only changes are the UPC and covers and not be rejected by the birthday police.
Also maybe a way to flag a new submission when theres a birth year being used, most of the time, unless I click on each cast and crew name have know idea that a birth year has even been associated with someone. Currently it's a dice roll whether or not the birth year was already approved or not. Or does a birth year have to be proved every time?
I don't know if I made myself clear, I find this hard to explain in writing. | | | Last edited: by Pockets |

| Posted: | | | | No the BY only needs to be approved once. If you have one that finds its way into your submission, then just add "BY from previously approved profile", then that should stop the rejections. Being able to actually tell them which profile it came from originally would be very helpful too! You're right though, it would be better if BYs were more easily seen in the profile, before you get to submission stage. |

I have had a number of contributions declined which included BYs that came from previously downloaded contributions and were noted such. | | | Andy

| Posted: | | | | I have had it declined a few times like that too... even with the note. But then I just upload it again... with that statement in bold or such and then it goes through without a problem. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I'm not so sure this would have ever have been a big problem if I hadn't imported the "masterhead shot" data into my DVDprofiler. However I don't regret it, I still think the masterhead shot DB is a good thing, just need a way to filter out the unwanted data. |

Same experience, with 10/0 Yes/No votes, and explanation that BY was not added by me, but still got a request to provide documentation. I think we're being too cautious now... | | | Hans |
