Hi all,

For my Simple Statistics plugin I need to know what is the best audio track and what is the worst when the criteria is sound quality.

The options in DVD Profiler are as follows:

Dolby Digital Mono
Dolby Digital Stereo
Dolby Digital Surround
Dolby Digital 5.0
Dolby Digital 5.1
Dolby Digital Surround EX
Dolby Digital Plus
True HD
DTS 5.1
DTS-ES (Matrixed)
DTS-ES (Discrete)
DTS-HD
PCM Stereo
PCM 5.1
MPEG2

Can anyone help me put these in the right order, from best to worst? I've got no clue where the HD tracks come in place...

Thanks in advance!
I make love in theory and touch myself in practice.

Errr... There's more to it then that. For Example A clean PCM Stereo(2 Channels) track can sound far superior to a poorly mixed Dolby 5.1 (5.1 Channels), especially if the Dolby channel is heavily compressed whereas the PCM isn't. It depends on the format of the Original mix, The Skill of the person mixing, the quality and restoration of audio materials, and artefacting Caused by compression. All of these affect sound quality and therefore make it so that the quality of different audio tracks needs to really be judged on a per movie basis.

What would the order be in an ideal word?
