It would solve a number of problems if I could assign a single UPC to more than one disc. I envision being able to enter into the Mulit Disc Set Contents section of the Editor and associating a single UPC with multiple discs using slot numbers or adding an additional A, B, C to the end of the UPC, the letter would not be used when updating the profiles. This would allow you to be able to see and organize the Disc-2 DVD's that, up to this point, have gone missing within the DVD Profiler database. |

| Posted: | | | | It would solve issues such as 2 films on one side of a disc, which disc id currently doesn't address. Of course an easier solution to that particular issue would be to do something similar with disc ids. Which would avoid the need to do something to all entries currently entered under the ID. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

You might want to wait and see what is in the next release. A few highlights:
- Improvements for barcode scanning - Unlimited nesting of parent-child profiles - Country of origin filters & sorts - Designation of 'principal' user(s) for default selection - Performance improvements to the Add DVD interface - Optional preserving of cast/crew with images in the repair util - Improved quality of image compression during contribution - Significant improvement to the online synchronization - Mobile changes to support desktop changes
Several more items are in progress and will be rolled into further betas for 3.1. You might find that these new features address some of your issues. |
