| Posted: | | | | AFAIU, the rules about TV Complete Series/Season say not to add espisode synopses if they are missing in the Overview on the cover.
My question is: are synopses allowed in child profiles, *if* child profiles are created for each disc in the box? | | | -- Enry |

| Posted: | | | | Glad you enjoy them! Something I came up with before we even had the ability to have child profiles. Some of usa still make them... as you can have so much into them... images... sound... tables... all kind of stuff... right now I am working on doing some for all 3 seasons of Batman Beyond with images from every episode and everything | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | That's news to me. I've had no votes before for trying to add it to the profile and I recently cast a no vote for one because of that. The rules currently state "Do not add episode synopses to the overview field, but these can be added to the local non-contributed “Notes” field."
Personally, I'd like them. | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |

| Posted: | | | | I always thought that episode lists were allowed in the overview, but synopses weren't. |

Synopses are not allowed in the overview field per the rules. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Synopses are not allowed in the overview field per the rules. I have no problems either way, but... doesn't that rule expressly refer to "Complete Series/Seasons" as such, not to individual child profiles? | | | -- Enry | | | Last edited: by White Pongo, Jr. |

Synopses are not allowed in the overview field per the rules. That applies only to the parent profile, Max, not the children. | | | John

| Posted: | | | | Well, if nothing in the rules applies to TV show child profiles, doesn't that force us to the default rule about only using the back cover overview? Otherwise we can put whatever we want in the child profile overview exactly because there is nothing in the rules. |

If there is not a clarification for child profiles, for a particular section of the profile, then it defaults to the standard rule. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Agreed; and also agree with Hal: the Rule specifcally says don't ADD synopses so if they're on the cover the 'match the cover exactly' rule has precedence | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

Gotta agree with you here. If there is not a clarification for child profiles, for a particular section of the profile, then it defaults to the standard rule. And you would be wrong. Take a look at the major TV season sets like Stargate, or Battlestar, Sex in the City, 24, etc. Every single one of them has a simple episode list in the format we agreed on, WITH whatever short plot blurb was included for each episode either from the disc cover or the included episode booklet. | | | John

So just because these profiles are in the database that makes them automatically right? I don't think so! By the Rules I believe they are wrong... by agreement of the users they are accepted (and if that's what users like yourself want, agreed and the screeners let them trhough I don't think arguing about it will help anyone) but until the Rules actually specify that 'don't add synopses' doesn't apply to these child profiles technically they're still wrong. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
