| Posted: | | | | I was sure this had been asked for before, but couldn't find post so here goes:
I think it would be a great idea if there was a special separator divider that you could use to add a blank line to cast & crew lists - primarily to show when a list of names under a proper divider have ended. So instead of:
Actor 1 Actor 2 <Divider>The Orcs<Divider> Orc 1 Orc 2 Actor 3 Actor 4
You would get:
Actor 1 Actor 2 <Divider>The Orcs<Divider> Orc 1 Orc 2 <--- a separator divider Actor 3 Actor 4
At the moment people have been using blank dividers, which is ok, but I think looks quite ugly. |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry - I forgot to specify that this is only in the cases where a divider is used in the actual end credits. I'm not saying we use this instead of listing the roles properly. |

| Posted: | | | | No - I'm suggesting a special divider that acts as a carriage return, so you simply get a gap in your cast list. At the moment, you get an empty, solid box in your cast list. |

| Posted: | | | | You can already do that North. Just create a blank cast or crew member. You can do this by adding a blank or invisible character from the character map into the first name field of the cast or crew member then save it. But I thought it was expressly forbidden in the rules to add blank lines in the cast list . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | If you do that, is that submittable to the online database? I looked at the rules and the closest I can see is this: "Do not include artificial actor entries to act as separators between cast lists. (e.g. "--JAPANESE CAST--"), instead use the Divider feature for this." So at the moment the profiles using a blank divider are allowed, I just thought it would look better as an extra line as opposed to an empty divider. Here's an actual example: This is how the cast list currently looks: and this is how I think it would look better: |

I understand what you're asking for, but its a purely aesthetic thing, hence falls into the realm of personal preference. I doubt you'll get much play on it. | | | John

While your at it, why not pt a blank separator between "Mitchell Suskin" and the divider for "20th Anniversary Edition"? | | | Hal |
