| Posted: | | | | I just tried to correct two sort names:
The Notebook (794043-749728) Current sort name: "American President"
Firefly: The Complete Series (024543-089292) Current sort name: "zzz Firefly: The Complete Series"
In the case of Notebook, the submission engine said it couldn't find any change to the profile. For Firefly, it asked me to confirm I was changing the Box Set status.
Does the submission check look at the Sort Name? If not, is there any other benign change I could make to force it to accept the new sort name? |

| Posted: | | | | Sort names are only used locally and are not part of your submission. The reason is that there is no standardized sorting and everyone prefers their own (it used to be part of submissions but was eventually dissed due to too many discussions). |

I've owned the US release of Firefly since release and it's never had zzz in the sort title, the system defaults it to match the main title, so somebody would have had to have submitted it and have it accepted as zzz Firefly.
I've also downloaded the Canadian release for Firefly and both versions of the Notebook that come up under the UPC provided and they show the correct sort title that matches the film title. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |
